Choice of Law for Fraudulent Transfers

Description

This committee will consider and make recommendations concerning the need for and feasibility of drafting a uniform act on choice of law rules in actions involving fraudulent transfers. A uniform choice of law rule would provide valuable clarity particularly in two important contexts: when only one of the potentially relevant jurisdictions has adopted the Uniform Fraudulent Transfer Act (adopted in 43 states and the District of Columbia), and when the applicable fraudulent transfer statutes in the relevant states are similar but the interpretations of the acts in the relevant states differ significantly.
